Carolina Marin :

Carolina Maria Marin Martin is a Professional Badminton Player From Spain who is currently ranked No. 2 in the world by Badminton World Federation (BWF) in the women's singles. She became world champion in women's singles in 2014 and 2015. She also won her first women's singles gold medal at the Rio Olympics 2016 after defeating P.v. Sindhu of India.

Carolina  Marin is known for her hardworking and never give up attitude she has so many achievements at her younger age. she shows her talent during under 17 championship in 2009 . Carolina got so many achievements for her home Country Spain. She Became the first Spanish Player to win a grand Prix gold title at London in 2013. she was the first Spanish badminton player ever to win a gold medal at the BWF world championships. when she was 21 years old she was the only  European player ever to win the gold at the International Tournament.

Early Life :

Carolina Marin is born on 15 June 1993 in Huelva , Spain. her father name is Gonzalo Marin and her mother name is Toni martin she was a Flamenco dancer from in her town. she wanted to be a flamenco dancer but destiny wants something different for her. she is a left handed badminton player coached by Fernando Rivas. she represented her Country Spain in international championships and tournaments. 

Career :

Carolina Marin started playing badminton at la Orden badminton club in Huelva. she became the first Spanish badminton player to win a silver medal in 2009 and a gold medal at the European badminton championships. Carolina also played for the Bangalore based team Banga Beats in Indian badminton league (IBL) in 2013 and she was also won grand Prix gold title in 2013.

Tournaments :

Carolina Marin plays so many Tournaments and in 2015 she defeated world no.1 Li Xuerui . she also won Malaysian open 2015 after beat Li Xuerui and won her second super series premier title. she also beat Saina Nehwal of India and defending her title at the world championship. Carolina Marin also won Australian open 2015, French Open 2015 as well as Hong Kong open 2015.

Awards and Achievements :

Carolina Marin achieve so many titles in her career regarding Domestic and International tournaments. she won 281 matches and lose only 86 matches this is very amazing record and achievement for her in her younger age. she achieve 21 titles in her career. she won a gold medal in rio Olympic 2016 and world championship in 2014 also in European championship in 2014 , a bronze medal in world junior championship , a gold and a silver in European Junior Championship and a gold in European world under-17 championship.
